What a professional jump includes
A proper jump is more than two clamps and a hope. We confirm the 12-volt system, find the manufacturer jump points, and watch voltage while the engine cranks. That matters on newer cars that hide the battery under a seat or in the trunk. It also matters in summer heat when New Orleans batteries fail without warning after a short errand.
Jump service is part of our roadside assistance lineup. It is priced from $65 so you are not pushed into a tow you may not need. If you also locked the keys inside a dead car, tell us both problems so we bring entry tools and a pack together.
How the jump-start process works
- Call (504) 414-8034. Describe the click, the dash lights, and whether you already tried another car.
- We quote from $65 and give a 30-minute-class ETA for your block or lot.
- Unlock or meet the driver. Pop the hood if you can. Stay clear of traffic if you are on a shoulder.
- We connect, crank, and watch idle voltage. We will not keep grinding a starter that is already hot.
- If it will not hold, we load the car and tow it using published hook-up plus $4 per mile rates.
When a jump will not be enough
Flooded carpets after a storm, a battery that is swollen, or a car that sat for months in long-term airport parking usually need a tow, not another boost. Same for cars that crank freely but never fire. Those are fuel or security issues, not a 12-volt problem. We will tell you that on scene instead of taking a second $65 to fail again.

Airport lots off Airline Drive in Kenner, evening parking along Allen Toussaint in Lakeview, and West Bank errands in Algiers all produce no-crank calls after short trips. Hotel garages downtown do the same when headlights stay on. If you are on I-10, keep the cabin lights off while you wait and follow our highway safety steps.
